UK artist Griff is back to bless our ears with a new song. Griff’s ‘Good Stuff’ drops on February 7th and let’s just say, the title is very fitting.
Griff, who wrote her first song at the age of 12, writes and produces her own music. Her music career started at church when she was younger and has only continued to flourish. In fact, her debut EP The Mirror Talk dropped late last year. You can check that out here.
You can listen to ‘Good Stuff’ (and watch the video) here:
The video may be simple, featuring Griff alone in a theater as she sings, however the song is anything but. Accompanied by Griff’s beautiful vocals and some masterful piano in the background, ‘Good Stuff’ is a lament to a lost lover and a once beautiful relationship. Not to mention, her fantastic braid and dress. Vocally talented and a fashion icon? We have to stan!
Have you ever been in a relationship that’s gone sour, but can only seem to remember the good stuff? Like, you know that it was bad for you, but you can’t seem to regret it. If the answer is yes, first of all ouch, we feel you, and second, this might be the song for you. Griff’s vocals are sweet as honey while still managing to deal a powerful blow to our emotions. The music flows perfectly with the lyrics, showcasing Griff’s talent as a writer and producer. The piano is an especially poignant tool in getting the emotion and meaning of the song across.
Griff’s music is some ‘Good Stuff’ and it’s clear that Griff is going to be an artist to watch in the upcoming months. We can’t wait to see what she does next!
