Rags and Riches — ‘Edge Of Time’
This newly released single from Rags and Riches is on our list of faves! ‘Edge of Time’ is sure to be a hit as all of the sounds in this song, including the featured drums in the forefront, give it an energetic pop feel. The lyrics tell a message of living life to the fullest, even when things get tough, and that you have to fight through all of the highs and lows.
Anna Sofia — Self Aware Bitch EP
With the release of her debut EP, Self Aware Bitch, Anna Sofia creates a name for herself. She has also released a video for the title single from the EP. It is a normal everyday scenario in a high school setting, with the dodgeball practice in the video giving the single a unique twist. The melodies and meanings of the other songs are new and fresh, which help make this young star stand out. Even though the lyrics and sound of ‘Waste My Time’ and ‘Bad Day’ are totally different from each other, both are relatable and leave us wanting more!
Gina Fritz — ‘Remedy’ ft Whitney Peyton
Gina Fritz’s new single ‘Remedy’ feat. Whitney Peyton definitely deserves to be on this week’s Sweet Releases. The Wallingford, CT native brings her own unique style to this alternative-esque single. The singer can be compared to Paramore’s Hayley Williams, but with a track this hot, she will easily be remembered for own unique vocals and sound.
Candice Lee — ‘Feel The Same’
The best way to describe this track is EDM/pop. You are immediately drawn in with the sounds of EDM, which then transition into more of a pop feel. This continues to happen throughout the song. ‘Feel The Same’ is the new single from Candice Lee with KXA. The lyrics tell a story of wondering if you and someone else are on the same page, whether that be in a relationship, sharing the same feelings, or with the same values.
Magic Giant — ‘Disaster Party’
Magic Giant has dropped the perfect party anthem with their new music video for ‘Disaster Party’. It is an alt-rock bop with super catchy lyrics and a melody you can’t help but nod along to. It’s a feel-good song, with an awesome meaning which the band explains as “Any time when shit is hitting the fan, instead of having a pity party, throw a disaster party”. With this R&B pop infused track, Stefan Alexander is serving us a bop that we cannot live without on this week’s Sweet Releases. ‘Photograph’ is a song of fantasy where you can fall in love with the image you have of someone. Something many of us can relate to with our pop faves, the perfect vocals are deliciously emotional. To not listen to this stunning track is to never hear Stefan’s beautiful voice and that would be criminal.
Kat Hamilton — ‘Medicine Line’
We love a beautiful, strong acoustic set, and Kat Hamilton has delivered. Her soft, yet powerful vocals layered over the velvety beat of the acoustic guitar, and tambourine offers up a unique twist often not found in modern music. Not to mention how amazingly beautiful and meaningful the lyrics to ‘Medicine Line’ are, but we would expect nothing less from a song about recovering from trauma and addiction. We are excited to hear what else will come from Kat in the future.
Casii Stephan — ‘Trapeze Artist’
Casii Stephan has a beautiful, soulful voice with a hint of vibrato in her tone. In ‘Trapeze Artist’ Casii offers us powerful lyrics coexisting with silky piano melodies, which gives this song a life of its own. Add in those previously mentioned unique vocals of Stephan and wow..literal chills!
Rachel Lynn — ‘This Winter’
Rachel Lynn’s brand new song ‘This Winter’ is a song you can listen to when you’re feeling the coldness of the season. It feels like a song to listen to by the fireplace as you’re snuggled up with someone you love. “‘This Winter’ is an R&B-inspired love song about no longer having to fight off feelings of loneliness as the days get darker and colder; instead, you’re able to find hope and security in the possibility that you’ve found someone you can count on.” Rachel’s smooth voice throughout the song, and you can sway to the music, those combined makes the song comforting like the feeling that you have somebody to count on.
Mo Lowda & The Humble — ‘LA Loop (The Lens)’
The musicality from Mo Lowda & The Humble with ‘The Lens’ has our minds blown. The instrumental is blissful and harmonious with the guitar echoing over the strong drum beat. Boniface — ‘Oh My God’ Music Video
Boniface shows off some killer dance moves in the music video for ‘Oh My God.’ The melody-rich, synth-pop track is layered over some enticing visuals as Boniface is encompassed in a dark room with neon lights sporadically placed around them as they dance and sing into the camera. Boniface has released the music video for ‘Oh My God’ ahead it’s their debut album release, which we know is going to be huge and blow the roof off this place.
Wave Break — ‘Out Of Breath’
Wave Break are coming to take the music industry by storm with ‘Out Of Breath’, which is a song about desperation. The track has an early 2000’s rock vibe to it, adding a bit of nostalgia for listeners. We are really vibing with the tune of this song and the golden vocals laced over top. Make it a song you won’t want to skip
Fallen Roads — ‘Where She Goes’
Fallen Roads delivers some very beautiful dance visuals over the drum heavy beat of ‘Where She Goes.’ The song speaks about the confusion of being left by someone you loved, a topic many can relate to in their own lives. The raspy vocals offer a unique twist to the song and really add an extra punch to the bluesy-rock track, which is a genre you don’t hear much from nowadays. We are loving the unique sound and look forward to hearing more Fallen Roads.
