There is nothing ‘Yikes’ about Nicki Minaj’s new song

The queen of rap is back and she isn’t playing around. Nicki Minaj just dropped her newest song ‘Yikes’. And honestly? We haven’t been able to take it off repeat since its release.

y’all bitches know I’m the fucking queen

‘Yikes’ is the first release after a three month hiatus while we starved for new content. And it was completely worth it. Nicki is her authentic self as we know her and she won’t take shit off anybody.

The queen of rap once again highlights her talent with this track. While replying to a fan on Twitter, she reveals that the hook of the song was free-styled upon hearing the beat for the first time.

Yikes (Yikes), you a clown, you do it for likes

Nicki also clarified that ‘Yikes’ is just a promo song and not her lead single for her upcoming fifth album. Commonly the lead single is the one song that represents the album the best. And with a banger like ‘Yikes’, we can’t wait for what Nicki has in store for us on her new album.

While we don’t have an album release date yet, you can stream and purchase the song here. (And don’t mind us listening to it 24/7 while we wait that album announcement)

What do you think about Nicki’s newest banger? Are you as excited as we are for her newest album? Let us know in the comments or by heading over to our Twitter @TheHoneyPop!
