Falling in Reverse has hit us right in the feels with a beautiful ballad of a song and we are very much not okay. In celebration of the band’s debut album, The Drug in Me Is You becoming certified gold, Falling in Reverse has released a reimagined version of one of their biggest hits ‘The Drug in Me Is You’. What better song to have on repeat on Valentine’s honestly.
‘The Drug in Me Is You’ is a hauntingly dramatic piano ballad that builds to a fiery, explosive crescendo. Although this version is musically distinct from the original, it still keeps that classic FiR vibe we all know and love.
Ronnie Radke had this to say about the track, “I wanted to give the fans something special. This song was not made with the hope of gaining new fans — this was made specifically for the fans that have been here from the beginning. I wanted to strip down the music to show you how raw the lyrics actually are. So you can feel the song in a completely different way.”
To feel the lyrics and experience Ronnie’s beautiful vocals, listen to the song below (and keep an eye out for the special appearance of a familiar face).
We’re not crying, you are.
If you need more Falling in Reverse now, be sure to check out their newest single, ‘Popular Monster’. The song has over 30 million streams worldwide and is accompanied by a super cinematic video with explicitly gory visuals that perfectly accompany the very real lyrics and heavy sound.
Yeah, I know, that was intense. And incredible. If you need even more FiR now, the band’s currently on the “THE DRUG IN ME IS GOLD” tour with Escape the Fate and The Word Alive. They’re playing The Drug in Me Is You in its entirety, so get your tickets here.
But wait, there’s more!
Falling in Reverse is ALSO going on tour with none other than Asking Alexandria later this year! Stay tuned for ticket updates.
