It’s the morning after the night before where 40th BRIT Awards took place and while the attendees are probably sleeping in or nursing hangovers, we are just thinking back to what a chaotic few hours the show was. But while this was the biggest night in British music, there were several international attendees who really grabbed our attention. So we’re looking at the 4 non-brits who stole The BRITs!
Hoo boy, did Lizzo keep us entertained! Aside from her phenomenal performance in the style of a melody of her big hits from the past year, she was also game for some real banter in the crowd. She and Harry Styles were sat near each other in the audience which led to some iconic interactions between the two of them and host Jack Whitehall. We were blessed with a snuggle from two of our faves and some flute innuendos. It really was just everything. Lizzo is the life of the party, wbk.
Our Irish heartthrob blessed us all as he showed up in a velvet suit to give away the first award of the night, which was only to his BFF Lewis Capaldi! We all know that Niall and Lewis are literally friendship goals, so for him to award his bestest bud with his first-ever BRITs award was bound to give us the most adorable content. We’re not crying, you are!
Our 5-time GRAMMY winner can now also add an international award to her ever-growing collection as she scored at The BRITs. In addition to winning International Female Artist, Billie also performed her new single ‘No Time To Die’ for the first time. Joining her was her brother Finneas, to deliver an amazing performance.
Tyler, The Creator
While we weren’t so lucky to get a performance from Tyler, we were blessed with what we believe is the best facial expression in reaction to winning an award ever. Just look.
He also had a cute interaction with Harry Styles (who needs to teach him how to give dap, tbh), gave all the love to British funk artists who inspired him and… uh… lowkey dragged former prime minister Theresa May, and everyone was living for it.
King of Grime Stormzy gave a 10 minute medley of his new album Heavy is the Head last night and just when we thought things couldn’t get any better, enter Burna Boy with a lit performance of ‘Anybody’. The duo performed on a stage above the crowds with incredible pyrotechnics and a phenomenal ensemble of dancers, which was easily one of the best performances of the night!
