On January 17 at the Eventim Apollo Hammersmith in London, a tribute concert was held in honor of Ginger Baker. She was a former member of the bands, Cream, and Blind Faith, and she was also a long time friend of guitarist, Eric Clapton.
Clapton organized the one-time event, and it featured a slew of memorable performances by Eric Clapton, Paul Carrack, Chris Stainton, Sonny Emory, Steve Gadd, Willie Weeks, Katie Kissoon, and Sharon White. The evening also featured special guests Steve Winwood, Roger Waters, Nile Rodgers, Ronnie Wood, Kofi Baker, Kenney Jones, Henry Spinetti, and Will Johns, among many others.

The concert was a beautiful showcase to remember a truly wonderful human being. All proceeds from the event went towards the charity Leonard Cheshire, which supports disabled people in the UK and around the world.
