Today, We Remember Pop Smoke: His Life and Career

On February 19, the world, and the music industry, tragically lost rising rap star, Pop Smoke after his home in Hollywood Hills was broken into by a group of individuals who fatally shot the rapper. He was talented, hard-working, and dedicated to his music and fans. He was supposed to be touring this Spring to bring his new music to fans around the world, but in the wake of this tragedy, we want to remember him for his successes and who he was as a person.

His recently released mixtape, Meet The Woo 2, debuted in the top 10 (#7) on the Billboard Hot 200 shortly before his death. This marked the highest debut of his career. The mixtape collected over 55 million streams within its first week of release, which is a very impressive feat for a newbie in the rap game. Go stream it here, and let’s keep his memory alive.
