April Ivy Is Giving Us Permanent Love With Her Newest Single

Bubble gum pop all grown up. Mariana Gonçalves, you probably know her as April Ivy, has a new song out and she isn’t playing around. ‘Temporary Love’ should be your next playlist add.

April Ivy

Originally voicing Disney characters in Portuguese dubbed animations, April Ivy has risen in popularity for her singing. With her recent swap to Beverly Martel, she brings a second single. ‘Temporary Love’ follows ‘Can’t Fight This Feeling’ which was well received. Before this, she had songs with Warner Portugal, Sony Portugal, and Universal France. Ivy has also been nominated for a few awards such as for the MTV Awards for Best Portuguese Act and Portuguese Golden Globes for Best New Artist.

‘Temporary Love’

While the Disney influence is apparent it only adds to the lovely melodic beats. Her voice is sweet as honey and with lyrics like:

“Should I keep quiet or say good morning?
I caught you smiling when I was yawning
I shy away cause I’m insecure
I’m not perfect but you tell me I’m beautiful”

Sweet and innocent. It gives us the feeling of first love, giddy and over the moon, but of course, we know it’s only puppy love. It’s fun though, isn’t it? Which this song completely encapsulates. It’s the love that we all want, simple and sweet and above all endearing. ‘Temporary Love’ serves as the perfect stepping stone for this artist to reach the top.
