It’s a stressful day for ARMY as it’s announced that BTS will be postponing their 4th studio album release event due to the coronavirus outbreak that’s currently hit Korea.

Taking to Weverse – the fan-to-artist app the members use to regularly connect with fans – an announcement was made, stating that the upcoming event will be “postponed temporarily due to health and safety concerns regarding the novel coronavirus outbreak in South Korea.”

It’s clear that both BTS and BigHit Entertainment are concerned for the welfare of those involved, as the announcement goes on to say they “considered the health and safety of the artists and fans as the top priority.”

The now-postponed event was due to take place on March 7th where 300 of the fans who pre-ordered the album on Weply would be selected at random and invited to take part in the event, which would be conducted in the format of a talk show. Attendees would also will be able to hear the artists share many different anecdotes and behind-the-scenes stories from their preparations for the album.

BTS recently told their fans to avoid upcoming shows in attempt to prevent the spread of coronavirus. They are scheduled to film several TV shows in Seoul to promote their new album, Map of the Soul: 7.

“Health is always on our minds these days, and our messages of facing your inner self and loving yourself are ultimately only possible when you’re healthy,’ said Jimin.

BigHit had stated they had decided to “fully co-operate with the government’s policy to refrain from holding events with a massive number of participants in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus.”

They had urged fans to refrain from visiting the venue of the press conference for their own safety and advised to show their support for the Bangtan boys by watching the press conference via livestreaming.
