It’s a hard week for BTS and their ARMY as their Seoul concerts are the latest to be impacted in terms of cancellation due to the Coronavirus.
BigHit Entertainment have shared an official announcement breaking the disappointing news that the Map of the Soul Tour dates in Seoul, South Korea have had to be cancelled.
In a statement, the company said that plans for the tour “included the involvement of a number of global production companies and a large group of expert international crew with over 200,000 concertgoers expected to attend.”
But due to the global coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has “made it impossible at this time to predict the scale of the outbreak during the dates of the concert in April, alongside increasing uncertainty about the cross-border movement of concert staff and equipment.”

It’s a difficult time for ARMY who have been waiting a long time to see their favorite group once more. BTS have already had to postpone an upcoming event alongside the Seoul exhibit of Connect BTS and have urged fans to support them at home and online rather than going out to see them at press events, urging them to stay safe.
The Map of the Soul World Tour was set to kick off in Seoul, South Korea at the Olympic stadium with four dates, before moving on to Santa Clara in the US. The tour will be making numerous stops in the US, with dates in Canada, the UK, Europe, and Japan, as well as a mystery stop – yet to be announced – on June 13th and 14th.
We’re sending all our love to the ARMY and BTS who are undoubtedly devastated about the circumstances.
