Fresh Music Friday — Lady Gaga, Mabel, Jonas Blue & More!

Welcome to Fresh Music Friday! If this is your first stop at the hive, then we are here to let you know what we are buzzing about and cannot get enough of this week! If you have been here before, you already know you are in for a treat!

Lady Gaga — ‘Stupid Love’

Gaga is back in a BIG way with ‘Stupid Love,’ and we cannot get enough of it! This track encompasses everything we love about Gaga with its catchy chorus, insane choreography, and floor filler energy! This song is destined to do well and if you’re an old skool little monster or a new fan. This song has some of her old vibes we know and love, mixed with a touch of new sassy pop hooks that will make this a staple in your playlist. As for the accompanying music video, all we can say is WOW, our Queen has not disappointed, check it out for yourself if you haven’t already!

Mabel — ‘Boyfriend’

Mabel certainly knows how to serve sickening bops that we can all relate too! ‘Boyfriend’ is by no means an exception, the sexy video alongside this track takes us on a journey of finding her ideal boyfriend. The song itself is infectiously fun and has us wanting to dance. The hook is fresh and honestly gives us summer vibes, which with the sucky weather we’re having right now, is just what we needed to transport our minds to our warm sunny happy place!

Harry Hudson — ‘Let Me’

This track is slow and haunting in its delivery with a sad undertone, but that does not stop it from slapping! The sultry vocals delivered from Harry wanting to declare his love if his beau will let him, pack a punch, and have us swaying along willing his love to be reciprocated. This track is what slow jams are all about, and we hope you agree!

Jeremy Zucker — ‘Not UR Friend’

Ever wanted to just tell someone that they’re not your friend? Well, Jeremy has, and he wrote a song saying just that! This fresh acoustic sassy tune certainly delivers that message, and we cannot get enough of it! Some times you need a friendship detox, and Jeremy articulates this in a way that is both inspiring and relatable all at once! With an album due out later this Spring, we cannot WAIT to see what other great songs he has in store for us all!

Jonas Blue & Paloma Faith — ‘Mistakes’

Two modern-day music powerhouses in the form of DJ, Jonas Blue, and the vocally stunning Paloma Faith have united for this track, which is sure to hit the clubs in a big way this year! ‘Mistakes’ reminds us that we can do better and we need to break the cycle and stop repeating the same mistakes. It delivers this with Jonas delivering incredible beats and Paloma providing the strong and sexy vocals in a way that only she can, and we are SO here for it!

Alexa Goddard — ‘Run Away’

You probably know Alexa for her amazing covers, but she is now back with her original material. ‘Run Away’ is a song of personal growth and will resonate with anyone going on a journey of self-discovery or battling inner demons. Alexa delivers beautiful vocals and displays her distinct ability to give you goosebumps with this track! It would have been criminal not to have this in our Fresh Music Friday and we hope you agree!

Sheppard — ‘Don’t Believe In Love’

Aussie pop sensations Sheppard is back with a new bop in the form of ‘Don’t Believe In Love.’ This track combines all the things we love about pop music with a chorus that is on a repeat loop in our brains and verses that capture our hearts. The song is the first of many in a year-long project for the band who will release a new track EVERY month for the next year! If any of the tracks are half as good as this one, the next year will be bright, that’s for sure!

Harry Styles- ‘Falling’

Harry is back today, with the video for fan fave ‘Falling,’ and we’re not crying you are! This beautiful track owns us, and when paired with the video provides even more layers of emotions that have us in our feels in ways we are still processing! ‘Falling’ is truly one of those songs that we know will knock our socks off live, and you best believe we already have our tickets for tour!

Jessie Ware — ‘Spotlight’

One of our faves Jessie Ware delights with ‘Spotlight,’ a funk-style dance track that draws you in instantly. With Jessie’s vocals and what we can only describe as a truly enchanting melody, be prepared for this song to cast its spell on you.

Jawny — ‘Anything You Want’

Jawny is a refreshing talent that with his recent signing to Interscope, has released ‘Anything You Want.’ A track with funk-infused guitars and super memorable lyrics. Need a bop that is motivational, charming, and has everything you want to start the day off the best way? Then check out this track, and we assure you that you will be living your best life!

Gorillaz ft. Fatoumata Diawara — ‘Desole’

The Gorillaz always seem to create diverse music that is both timeless and strong in its delivery. ‘Desole,’ is no exception with Albarn’s vocals paired with Diawara’s performance this track is both beautiful and the perfect blend of alt-pop music fused with different cultural influences. A song we didn’t know we needed, but now we don’t think we could live without it!

Ally Brooke — ‘Fabulous’

Ally Brooke delivers a song about self-love and empowerment with ‘Fabulous,’ and boy is it a banger! A fresh pop track laced with Ally’s flawless vocals reminds us that instead of putting our hearts in someone else hands, we should focus on loving ourselves. A message that is SO important, and we all need reminding of sometimes. If you’re feeling blue, play this track, crank up the volume and pay close attention to the words. It is soul food, something we all need to refuel every so often! What a way to end our Fresh Music Friday!
