A Neck Deep Dive Into The Future With A Little Feature Of The Past

A Neck Deep Dive Into The Future With A Little Feature Of The Past

Neck Deep started from the bottom, now we here. Beginning as just a simple side project, the band became a full-time, all hands on deck thing in 2012. Finding a following after a single track online led to a pair of killer EPs, and onto a deal with Hopeless Records. Striking a chord (G chord specifically) with an eclectic and eccentric audience that is the pop-punk community. With bold hook-heavy punk, a fun-easy going attitude, combined with concerns for genuine issues of loneliness, depression, and anxiety, the band has something for everyone. Highly relatable songs and approachable demeanor made them fan favorites to the incredibly passionate generation of pop-punk lovers.

Neck Deep is Ben Barlow (Vocals), Matt West (Guitar), Sam Bowden (Guitar), Seb Barlow (Bass), and Dani Washington (Drums). These guys have made their mark on the scene, so much so they have evolved to the next level as an arena-confident band, as their crowd grows more abundant, it’s apparent how much this band means to people.

Just An Extra In A Story

Now, we have a brand new single ‘Lowlife’ (watch here) as Neck Deep announces their fourth full-length album All Distortions Are Intentional due out July 24th, 2020. Highly anticipated, this album is no mere collection of songs. Conceptually rich, covering themes of life, and the search for its meaning, this album tells a story. The story is that each person lives life as vividly and complex of their own, filled with aspirations and doubts, just like us.” It’s that strange existential realization that you are not the entire world,” explains singer Ben Barlow. “Everyone around you feels and lives the same way that you do. You’re just an extra in their story.”

So, as we prepare for Neck Deep’s impending album, we are going to get you hype in a brand new way. Neck Deep is excellent all on their own, but one of our favorite parts about them is their kick-ass features they deliver us time and time again.

So we are here to give you a list of previously released songs with features that we love, to get you excited for the possibility of features that we’ll treasure forever.

Favorite Features:

Ft. Laura Whiteside

Starting with the one that got us all hooked. Ben Barlow gives us his voice raw and beautiful as a love story unfolds and dissolves. Laura Whiteside ties it all together as she brings in female vocals that just make us want to cry (in the best way).

Ft. Mark Hoppus

Neck Deep’s relationship with Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus is no secret. Working closely with Hoppus has generated both an influx of fans and bomb ass material. December ft. Mark Hoppus is NO different because we love it.

Ft. Saxl Rose

‘In Bloom’ is a favorite of ours already, but this super sick feature has trumpeter Saxl Rose killing it. Saxl Rose has worked alongside Neck deep as well as Chris Brown and Paramore.

Ft. Sam Carter

Another masterpiece, ‘Don’t Wait’ has made it onto our list. Featuring Sam Carter from Architects, this one jams a little bit harder. An unexpected pair fits perfectly for this one.
