Meia is an award winning actress and singer-songwriter from Barcelona, Spain. After spending many years performing at various venues in Barcelona, Meia moved to New York City to share her eclectic music with a bigger audience. Because of her travelling, she is a bi-lingual artist, and writes music in both Spanish and English.
At Drom, she was accompanied by Kelsey Warren, AKA: Blak Emoji, a guitarist and electro-pop musician from New York City. Together, the two put on a riveting performance and performed all original music including ‘Be Gentle My Love,’ ‘Beyond the Angle of Horror’ and ‘Angles in New York City.’
The dynamic duo are a wonder-team, and they performed flawlessly together. Kelsey played impressive guitar riffs to enhance the jazzy-pop quality of Meia’s vocals while Meia who has a very pure energy that shines brightly danced around on the stage. Because of all of this and more, she is an amazingly talented musician, and is not a stranger to harmonizing vocals.
They were like two sides of the same coin – you cannot have one without having the other! Their musical styles complimented each other so immaculately that you would think that they have been performing together since childhood.
