House & Home — ‘Heatseeker’

Where do we even begin?! The band’s newest single ‘Heatseeker’ is beyond what we could’ve imagined, it’s catchy and emotional, all the things that make for a hit song. Not only did House & Home release a new single, but they have signed to Open Your Ears Records and have announced their full length, debut album, Find Sense. Feel Love. Make Light., that will drop April 17th. Raise your hand if you’re stoked (you can’t see us, but we’re raising our hands.) ‘Heatseeker’ is featured on the album, and it’s got us so excited for what this band has in store!

Half Hearted — ‘Liar’

Whoa! ‘Liar’ by Half Hearted is a nostalgia trip. The music video is shot in the style of a home video and shows off the beautiful surroundings. It’s like taking a dive into someone’s past and reliving their memories through them. The lyrics tell a tale of a messy breakup. You can tell the lyrics were heavily influenced by their Connecticut home base with lines such as “but you change my mind like it’s New England weather.”

Maya B — ‘Sink’

The pop of that hair color is stunning! You know when a woman changes her hair, things are about to get real. If the small detail like a stained sink doesn’t give it away then towel sure will. ‘Sink’ by Maya B ft SAINt JHN is a power anthem, like a pep talk you give yourself in front of a mirror, the music video enhances the sentiment. This is a song you vibe to when ya’ feelin’ yourself. The outfits and body language exude confidence and self-love.

SURF MESA Feat. EMILEE! — ‘ily’

The vocals sound like an echo reverberating from a declaration yelled from the rooftops. The mixing was no mistake and sounds impressive. With the repetition of “I love you,” the music, lyrics, and song title make sense on more than one front. Doesn’t it just fill you with an indescribably feeling? ‘ily’ by Surf Mesa ft Emilee is a sun-soaked treat. Take a trip to the sandy beaches where your heart is full of love for another human being on this small planet we call home.

Derrick Sherman Aka Grist Mils — ‘Sea of Trees’

Grist Mil is Derrick Shermans newest project concerning his music, and we are so here for it! This slow vibe of a song hits us just right in a relaxing Friday night in! The guitar and acoustic sound give us a moment to take a deep breath. The essence of the song is very dark, but it is one of the most intriguing songs we have ever heard! Give this song a chance and listen to the lyrics and let us know what you think!

Benjamin Gordon — ‘Take Me Home’

Sing us a song, Piano Man! Benjamin Gordon takes us through all of our feelings with the live session during the ‘Take Me Home’ music video. Like how are we supposed to deal? If you close your eyes, in the beginning, you can almost smell the coffee from the vibes this video gives off and who doesn’t love a coffee run? Drenched in yellow lights and his voice echoing off the church walls is something we all need to experience. Come cry with us!

Aime Simone — ‘What’s Up With The World?’

‘What’s Up With The World?’ is out just in time because we honestly don’t know either. This song is a straightforward sounding song, but with that being said, it slowly builds to a toe-tapping chorus! The lyrics are uplifting and motivational. It is everything we need to hear right now. There are no loud percussion or distracting instruments, just soft and comfortable beats giving the song the perfect mixture.
