In a recent re-recording, Jon Bon Jovi and company warmed our hearts with an accompanied remix of their song Unbroken with the Invictus Games Choir. The Invictus Games, started by Prince Harry, the royal Duke of Sussex, is an international multi-sporting event for wounded soldiers and veterans.
Instead of melting ears with strong classic rock, Bon Jovi melted hearts. The song’s lyrics describe in great detail the growth of a soldier entering boot camp.
Then the momentary bliss after graduating basic training, only to be thrusted into the traumatic shock of war. Bon Jovi touches a major issue of soldiers returning home from war and bringing it with them. Of veteran suicide rates and PTSD. Unbroken doesn’t hold back. Instead, it puts the cards on the table and recognizes the suffering and harrowing journeys soldiers take even beyond combat.
The remix is available now for purchase and download. All proceeds will go to the Invictus Games Foundation. The song and video, recorded in Abbey Road Studios features Prince Harry, Bon Jovi (obviously) and the 12 members of the Invictus Games Choir (also obviously).

The song is emotional, so be prepared. It touches on dark subjects and you may cry, but we’re thankful for Bon Jovi and the Invictus Games Choir for this incredible remix.
