Beartooth Released ‘Stay At Home’ Limited Edition Merch Bundle And Proceeds Benefit MusiCares
So many artists/musicians have been stepping up to help the world a little bit, and Beartooth is no different. They dropped a merch bundle called a ‘Stay At Home Kit’ and it’s sold out already. Each kit included a mystery hoodie, a fleece blanket, a deck of cards, a bottle opener, and a tote bag. But what’s inside doesn’t matter as much as the fact that all the proceeds benefit MusiCares relief fund.
The MusiCares relief fund has been getting so much attention as it helps musicians in need at this time who haven’t been able to do their jobs and take care of themselves. With all their concerts and gigs being canceled, they need some help and that’s where MusiCares has been helping. Beartooth’s merch bundle is already sold out, which just goes to show that we can all rally together and help people when they need it most! Since they’re all sold out that means MusiCares will have a huge benefit from it, and we’re so proud to be fans of Beartooth.
College Senior Makes Masks For The Deaf And Hard Of Hearing
21-year-old Ashley Lawrence has made something we all never even thought the world needed until she made it, masks for the deaf and hard of hearing. For a moment, you may wonder why they’d need to use different masks. It’s not exactly them who’d have to wear it, but the people they’re around. The deaf and hard of hearing often read lips to understand people, but masks cover our mouths and make it harder for them.
Ashley is studying education for the deaf and hard of hearing at Eastern Kentucky University, so she’s often thinking about them. “I just saw that people were making masks on Facebook for everyone to have instead of the throwaway masks, and I was like, what about the deaf and hard of hearing population?”
So she used her craft skills and made up some masks. They’re made of bedsheets and plastic fabric, both of which they already had and didn’t need to spend money on to make all the masks and she still currently hasn’t had to buy more. Ashley is still working on some more styles of the masks to fit more people including some that wrap around the head and neck.
She doesn’t make people pay to get a mask, to her, it’s a necessity that shouldn’t be only available to people who can afford it. If you’d like to order one of her masks, you can contact her email. She’s also currently accepting donations via her GoFundMe page, which you can check out here!
P!nk Donates A Total of $1 Million To Help Covid-19 Relief
P!nk took to social media to announce that she and her 3-year-old son had been experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 two weeks ago. She has tested positive and kept herself and her family at home, and good news, she tested again a few days ago and it had come back negative! While she and her family are free of the virus, P!nk has decided to donate a total of $1 million to help COVID-19 relief!
$500,000 will go to Temple University Hospital Emergency Fund in Philadelphia in honor of her mother who worked there for 18 years! Along with that generous donation, she’s also donating $500,000 to the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund. With those huge donations, P!nk is going to make a lasting impact on people. At the end of her statement, she gave a big “THANK YOU” to all our healthcare professionals, and ended the note with an important message “These next two weeks are crucial: please stay home. Please. Stay. Home.”
