You’re not the only one losing your mind in quarantine, even celebrities are feeling the boredom. Luckily, the new EP from Jake Miller, Quarantunes is here to quell your quarantine blues.
The unique thing about this EP is that it’s a TikTok EP of sorts. As in, it’s made up of songs Jake posted on TikTok! And he seems to be doing pretty well for himself, garnering millions of views on the videos. That’s how you do a music release in the time of Coronavirus baby!
The first song/video that Jake posted was ‘How Long Will This Last.’
Posted early on in the quarantine saga, Jake Miller and his family asked the same question as the rest of us. How long will this last? We get appearances from his family as Jake raps about rationing food and toilet paper. Oh Jake, if only we knew then what we know now, which is that we don’t know how long this is going to last.
The next bop from the Jake Miller Quarantunes EP is ‘Take a Walk.’
If your mom has made you take a walk at least once this quarantine raise your hand. Yeah, us too. Jake Miller may be famous but when mom tells you something, you listen. Jake says they’ve “done 30 circles round this block,” are all out of stock on food, and are just finding random things to do before mom asks him to go on another walk. We can definitely relate to struggling to find something to combat the boredom. At least walking counts as exercise right?
Finally, we have Jake and his family turning his house into a club!
It looks like the Miller family really knows how to turn up! If it weren’t for social distancing, we’d be asking to party like the neighbors did! This song also mentions how their solution to dealing with Corona is getting “really really drunk” and honestly we don’t blame them. (Drink responsibly kids).
And there you have it. The Jake Miller Quarantunes EP is probably the best soundtrack we can think of while we’re bored in the house and in the house bored. There have been a few more releases on his TikTok, which you can go check out for yourself. Hopefully, you get some fun entertainment out of this EP. We know we did!
So which track can you relate most to? How badly do you wish you were quarantined with such a fun family? Let us know in the comments below or by tweeting us @thehoneypop!
We hope you’re staying safe during quarantine, let us help keep you sane!
