Positivity Place: Tom Goss Unites Artists Worldwide, Spotify’s Artist Fundraising Pick, & McFly’s ‘All About You’ For NHS

Welcome to our Positivity Place, where we’ll be keeping you updated on all things that could make your day a little brighter. This might become your new favorite place, as it has become ours! We created this to put a smile on your face and a warm feeling in your heart, so here’s some news to make your day better!

Tom Goss Unites Artists All Around The World With ‘Dancing In My Room’

Tom Goss was feeling exactly like all of us right now, pretty isolated and alone, almost defeated, but instead of letting that take over, he decided to use his talents and make something. He wanted to make people smile around the world, and unite us all, and that’s exactly what he did with his video for ‘Dancing In My Room.’ Not only does it unite artists around the world, but all the proceeds of the video go to United Way Worldwide, which is a global non-profit that supports community service organizations around the world. If you want to check out the non-profit, check out their website here!

During the first week of quarantine, I felt really isolated and alone. I felt like my whole world had collapsed. But instead of feeling defeated, I decided it would be better to use my talents, and the community around me, to create something to bring people together, make people smile, and get up and move around. It feels like the world needs laughter and love more now than ever. More than anything, I want people to smile. I want people to see that we’re not in this alone. I want people to reach out and connect. I want people to feel like they’re still part of a global community.

There are even multiple versions of the song, each one is a different language featuring different artists. There’s an English version, a Spanish version, and a French version! The English one includes Tom Goss, Natalie Jane, Max Emerson, and Sam Renascent; the Spanish version includes Anne Reburn, Debi Gutierrez, Dubax, and Harryu; and the French version includes Sabrina Rauch, Deven Green, and Nyukyung. You can check out each version below, and maybe dance around your room as you listen to it!

Spotify Introduced “Artists Fundraising Pick”

With the current world situation, lots of artists need support as their usual jobs have been unable to support them or their team. Spotify has put something into place that could help them out, as they’ve already been doing as they’ve been working with MusiCares. This time, they’ve got a new feature. Just as an artist can choose to highlight a song, they can now highlight a fundraising destination.

Any money made from the fundraising will go to either the artist themselves, their bands, or their crews. For a lot of people in the industry, it’s so important that they can continue to support themselves. The artists can choose to add a link to CashApp, GoFundMe, and PayPal.me, so it’s easier for people to donate! Spotify is making sure to support artists, and right now, artists are a huge source of entertainment for us and we’re so grateful Spotify can help out artists/bands/crews in need!

McFly’s ‘All About You’ NHS Charity Video

For a lighter note at the end of this article, we’ve got a song for you to check out! McFly recorded ‘All About You’ for the NHS, letting them know how thankful they are for them and letting them know it’s all about them. The video was recorded from each band member’s homes, some parts in the studio and some parts show spending time with their family, and even with chickens!

It’s a nice and positive song and is guaranteed to uplift your spirits, and if you watch the video, you should know that 100% of all the royalties from the video will go to NHS Charities Together. So check it out and watch it, maybe watch it a second time, and share it with all your friends! We’re sure it’ll put you in a better mood just listening to it and knowing that just watching it will help out NHS Charities Together!
