Alice Cooper has been on the scene for 50 plus years and is still banging out some tunes. The 72-year-old Detroit native decided to reach out to fans directly. What better way for a musician to speak than from the heart with a song? Here’s Alice Cooper’s latest single and music video:
‘Don’t Give Up’
The music video delivers a message. The backdrop of the world is at our fingertips as we see Alice himself speaking about a guitar intro. The videos panel out on the globe as it flashes various people holding a piece of paper with a lyric on them as they cycle through.
About two weeks prior to the video’s release Alice Cooper invited fans to participate in the making of the video. Over 20,000 fans responded, holding up signs and messages of unity by using the song’s lyrics.
It’s a song about what we’ve all been going through right now and about keeping our heads up and fighting back together. And whatever you do — Don’t Give Up!
Though silent we see just how many people are together and feel the same as us. We have “7 billion brothers and sisters all in the same boat”.
