#NYCDanceAtHome : What You Need To Know

First of all, be aware that the location is super-secret and will only be revealed during the set! What we know for now is that it’s an iconic place in NYC, but that’s it. The event, conceived and produced by the Charity Guys, aims to put a smile on the faces of New York and the rest of the world through the power of music.

The starting time is a symbol itself: David Guetta will go live after New-York’s daily clap for frontline and healthcare workers, at 7 PM EST. You will be able to attend the event via his Facebook, Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and Tiktok accounts! And there are some even more exciting details: the livestream will welcome City First Responders and surprise guests! We’re 100% sure you don’t want to miss that!

I’m excited to announce I will host another live stream to raise money for charity and help battle the virus. New York is one of my favorite cities and it’s an honor to be able to do something to help the city during this difficult time. We’re planning something special that can be enjoyed from homes around the world. As a DJ, the crowd is the most important part of any show and even though we can’t be together in a club or at a festival, we can use this time to come together in new ways and help those who need it most.

Who is the #NYCDanceAtHome helping?

As we previously announced, David Guetta will be raising funds for charities and organizations throughout his livestream. We’re positive it will be another huge success as his first livestream ‘United at Home’ in Miami, raised more than $750,000 for charities that help fight COVID-19.

Consequently, the benefits will be shared between four main organizations. The Mayor’s Funds to Advance New York City is the official city’s fundraising for COVID-19 but it also provides daily support for the citizens who need it most, (such as careworkers, immigrants, homeless people, domestic violence survivors, etc). Feeding America is America’s biggest hunger-relief charity. Foundation Hôpitaux de Paris aims to improve healthcare workers’ and patients’ living and working conditions. Last but not least, the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund makes sure to help both hospital staff and patients in order to keep safe. It also provides help in the research and development of new vaccines and technologies.

In case you don’t know David Guetta…

There is no way you’ve never heard about David Guetta before. He is the most famous French DJ in the world and has been known to be a hit-maker ever since his first album, One More Love, released in 2002.

Not only is he one of those artists who have no bad sounds in their discography, but he’s also a music adventurer. His mixing skills don’t just stop at pure electro, he grew up musically by creating sounds inspired by many styles. Electro, pop, urban music… he knows it all and mixes them up with a touch that is recognizable as his own musical print.

It also lead him to dozens of features with international artists, such as Avicii, John Legend, Rihanna, Sia, and Usher. He’s the one who made you dance on ‘Without You’, ‘Flames’, ‘Don’t Leave Me Alone’ or more recently ‘Say My Name’. In addition to those international hits, he won 2 Grammy Awards out of 6 nominations. A king that doesn’t need a crown.
