‘Oceansize’ is the newest release from Oh Wonder’s Home Tapes project. This is the fourth song the duo has released while under quarantine. As with all their other music, the band has successfully gotten us into our feels with this new track. Take a listen below if you haven’t heard it yet!
‘Oceansize’ is the kind of slow song you should put on in the shower, or when you’re laying under the stars at night. Oh Wonder has sited the current global events as the inspiration for the song, saying it is a reflection of “lockdown and our consequent yearning for freedom, space, and nature.”
The entire Home Tapes project has been full of thought-provoking, and soul touching music so far. As expected, this new song is no different. We can all most likely relate to the feeling of wanting to take up space. To be the size of an ocean or to be a mountainside is to be subtle, yet constantly able to be seen. This is what we were talking about when we said this song might make you emo! Oh Wonder will make you want to feel as free as a bird, and as large as the ocean. We’re here for it!
