Chromatica – Lady Gaga

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting eagerly for, Chromatica by Lady Gaga is out now! Not only should you listen to it, but you should bask in the majesty of it. Thirteen luscious songs with three transitions. Each transition being ‘Chromatica I,’ ‘Chromatica II,’ and the final transition, ‘Chromatic III.’ We are blown away by the disco, dance, electronic feel we are pulled gently through as the album plays. Gaga serenades us with her soft but resonating vocals while the music takes us into dreamland. Song one is ‘Alice’ where we are told of a wonderland that we desire to experience more of, a sweet introduction to the rest of the songs that follow. The album is Forty-three minutes and eight seconds of a straight masterpiece, so clear your schedules and truly believe us when we say that this may be Gaga’s best album to date! Start your weekend off right with Chromatica by Lady Gaga. It’s an album to remember.

Fantasia X – Monsta X

Monsta X has returned with their latest mini-album, Fantasia X. The music video for their lead track, ‘Fantasia,’ is a must-see with their golden aesthetic and intense choreography. Monsta X’s music has been known for its trap, hip-hop, pop blends often referred to as noise music, and this album delivers all of that. The album is uplighting and showcases each member’s vocal talents. Songs such as ‘Stand Up,’ give a message to fans of strength and hope, a very present theme heard in all the songs throughout this album. From hard-hitting sounds in ‘Zone’ and ‘Chaotic’ that boost your energy to songs like ‘Beautiful Night’ where the softer vocals and instrumental blend are goosebump-inducing, this album takes you away. It gives you a restored sense of hope and energy. Fantasia X is unapologetically Monsta X, who keeps producing music for themselves and their Monbebe, and it is an album you MUST listen to.

‘TKN’ – Rosalía & Travis Scott

It’s no secret that we love a Spanish tune, and once again, Rosalía has delivered! When we heard this track, we couldn’t help but have a little tango around our kitchen to the track’s hypnotically catchy beat. Throw in a verse from legend, Travis Scott, and you have all the ingredients for a song that will be stuck in everyone’s heads for months to come.

‘Some Things’ – Mali-Koa

We’re slowing things down a bit this week’s Fresh Music Friday. The rains are coming in, and we’ve got our cup of tea ready. Like a warm stretch from the soul’s depths, we have a new song by Mali-Koa. ‘Some Things’ is a piano ladened ballad to so many things we’ve lost count. Things said and unsaid; it’s the little things, those moments you see through star-struck movie goer eyes. Bittersweet and beautiful, we take a backseat to our lives as we are taken away on a journey through every moment, every breath. The room fades away, ‘Some Things’ never change. Three minutes and twelve seconds fly by with an aching so visceral we’re breathless and in our confusion … we start the music again. This song is real, and Mali-Koa sure knows how to pull words off the paper with her full, resonating voice. Live your life through another lens with ‘Some Things’ by Mali-Koa.

Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley Chapter 1: Snake Oil – Diplo

‘There’s no trouble in this town but by god I wish I’d find some’

If you remember ‘Old Town Road’ then Diplo’s new album is for you! Continuing his Thomas Wesley concept from last month, what’s resulted is what we can only describe as an epic electronic album with a dash of country-pop for good measure. On paper, it shouldn’t work, but with featuring artists like The Jonas Brothers, Noah Cyrus, and Julia Michaels, it all comes together beautifully!

Some of our fave tracks include ‘Do Si Do’ because who didn’t love linking arms with your pals as a kid and spinning in circles? ‘Heartless’ is also another slow emotional tune that we’d all love to see live! If like Diplo, you’re looking for a new adventure, then this is the perfect album to soundtrack it.

‘Jolene’ – Chiquis & Becky G

Everyone loves the Dolly Parton classic ‘Jolene,’ so when we heard that Chiquis and Becky G dropped their very own Spanish version of the track, we had to check it out! It’s safe to say that we weren’t disappointed. The pair have given the classic a brand new twist that we think you’ll all love, too, so check it out here!

‘The Writer’ – Four Of Diamonds ft. Mr. Eazi

‘The Writer’ is a fun, happy-go-lucky song from four British dimes. It only makes sense for them to call themselves The Four Of Diamonds. This song asks us what are we here for, and reminds us that we’re the only people that need to know the answers for ourselves. We love an empowering song, so these ladies encouraging us to shine our shine, makes us want to hear more! We ARE the writers of our own lives.

‘RNB’ – Young Dolph ft Megan Thee Stallion

Vibing. That’s what we’re doing with Young Dolph song ‘RNB.’ Plus- Megan Thee Stallion feature is just a bonus for us! A bop over a sick beat Young Dolph is ready to storm the rap game. He’s a smart man to have a talent like Meg on the scene. This song is a must-hear, and that’s why its part of this week’s Fresh Music Friday!

Delight – Baekhyun

Baekhyun, a member of EXO and SuperM, known for his beautiful vocals and ever-present energy, has dropped his 2nd mini-album Delight, and it lives up to its namesake. The album with its R&B and Pop sounds is beautifully put together and makes you listen on repeat. If you haven’t done so already, check out the music video for the lead track, ‘Candy,’ which gives a blend of bright and fun backgrounds as well as cool toned-down vibes. It is very representing of Baekhyun, who shows many sides of himself through not only the music video but the album as a whole. You have slowed downed R&B tracks such as “Underwater” and upbeat tracks like ‘Poppin’, that have you feel a whirlwind of emotions as you listen. Breaking record after record, Delight showcases how Baekhyun has grown as an artist and will continue to grow.
