As you know, we here at The Honey Pop absolutely love our furry friends, so of course, we fell in love with Train’s newest song, ‘Rescue Dog.’ The new track is helping bring awareness and funds to North Shore Animal League, the largest no-kill shelter in the world! So sit down and roll over at the cuteness of this new song!
Bringing their trademark sound to the table plus inspirational and uplifting lyrics and you’ve got a hit.
“Rescue Dog is a song that my good friends Jerry Becker and Matt Musty wrote with me. It’s inspired by the great work that Beth and Howard Stern do to save animals and find great homes for them. It was a lot of fun to write and it will be even more fun to help continue what the Stern’s have done for so many years.”
– Pat Monahan, frontman of Train
But the video for ‘Rescue Dog’ just hits our heart even more, as it features tons of home footage with celebrity North Shore Animal League supporters! There’s so many that we lost count, who’d you spot in there?
Of course, it wouldn’t be a pandemic music video without Train appearing split-screen in their own homes! With those loveable shots mixed in with the cutenesses of all the celebrity pets, and other furry friends that have been adopted, we give it 10 paws!
All proceeds from ‘Rescue Dog’ will go to North Shore Animal League and benefit their no-kill mission amidst the ongoing pandemic.
