Slaves Aren’t Wasting Any Time with New Single ‘Wasting My Youth’

Here at The Honey Pop, we’re suckers for some rock, and Slaves have dropped their latest tune ‘Wasting My Youth’. Queue our excitement! With catchy guitar riffs and choruses you can scream to, it’s the perfect punk hit to soundtrack your summer.

It’s no surprise that this latest release is on repeat through our headphones. After all, we had high expectations after ‘Talk To A Friend’ and ‘Bury A Lie’ when they dropped earlier this year.

‘To Better Days’ Album Cover

The track itself is full of the usual spunk that we’ve come to love from Slaves. Along with a message that we can all relate to, it’s got our seal of approval!

“There is a lyric, ‘The feeling I’ve repressed is going out of style,’ If you miss that opportunity for release, you don’t get it again. ‘Wasting My Youth’ is about that bottled up frustration that comes from staying in a situation past its expiration date and what that does to a person.”

Matt McAndrew (Lead Vocalist)

Now if that isn’t enough, Slaves have also announced their next album ‘To Better Days’. Set to be released on August 7th, it will be the first album the band has released since Jonny Craig departed. But if ‘Wasting My Youth’ is anything like the rest of the tracklist, we’ll all be holding our breath in anticipation.
