5 Reasons Why You Should Stan Chloe x Halle!

Chloe x Halle truly shine! Their new sophomore album Ungodly Hour serves bops on a silver platter, and we, at The Honey Pop, are obsessing over this duo! So, here are 5 reasons why you should stan these soulful sisters!

1. Self-Made Sisters

These sisters have got what it takes to get to the top. The pair have no formal music training, and have taken it upon themselves to learn how to write and play music! The duo told TIME magazine that their dad pushed them and claimed he “instilled the importance of not having to rely on anyone, and having a do-it-yourself attitude” within them. The girls often used YouTube to aid their learning, and later created their very own channel!

2. Crowned By Queen B

The sisters were discovered by Queen B herself! 😱 Beyoncé signed them to her label Parkwood Entertainment after discovering their cover of her hit song Pretty Hurts and later invited them to open for the European leg of her Formation tour. The duo but have since shown off their talents opening for Queen B’s On The Run II tour also! We definitely hear Beyoncé’s influence within their sound dynamic, with bops like Forgive Me and Do It reminiscent of Beyoncé’s early 2000’s career!

3. Sisters of Many Talents

Yep, you read that right! The sisters serve bops on a silver platter, and have the acting chops! The duo play twins Skylar and Jazlyn Foster on the hit show Grown-ish, with co-star Yara Shahidi a real-life bestie to the pair. Talking to Glamour, the sisters say their many talents are a blessing, calling it “the best of both worlds.”

4. They Take Time Crafting

Perfection takes time, and Chloe and Halle settle for nothing less! The duo spent three years working on their debut album The Kids Are Alright, releasing it finally in March 2018. The album is loved by many, and after spending so much time perfecting it, we aren’t surprised, the pair telling Essence that most of the music is produced at home… and you know what they say- the best stuff is home-made!

5. They Snapped on Ungodly Hour

The duo just released their sophomore album, Ungodly Hour, and we are obsessed! If you like an album with zero skips and a variety of different genres, this is the one for you! We, at The Honey Pop, cannot wait to see what the pair get up to in the future 🤩

In conclusion, Chloe x Halle are very much a stan-worthy pair, so you should definitely check them out! You can listen to Ungodly Hour on all streaming platforms.

[…] Chloe x Halle are back with their new album Ungodly Hour. The duo originally planned to release the album June 5th, but it was pushed back another week because they wanted to bring more attention to George Floyd’s death (among many others as well). Ungodly Hour gives out a whole different vibe compared to The Kids Are Alright, as the album is about maturation in terms of their music and their selves. They aren’t little girls anymore, and we’re loving the new era! We could tell just from the opening (‘Forgive Me’) just how bad-ass this project would be.… Read more »
