BTS may release most of their songs in Korean, but if you’re new to the ARMY, you may not be aware that they also have some pure bangers in Japanese, too. In addition to recording some of their popular songs in the language, they also have a few originals in Japanese and, of course, they also absolutely slap. We mean, it’s BTS so that’s expected, right?

The Bangtan boys are in the middle of making their Japanese comeback with Map of the Soul: 7 – The Journey which is the Japanese edition of their 2020 album. The lead single ‘Stay Gold’ dropped yesterday, and honestly, it truly is everything. The single comes at perfect timing, with its message of hope and positivity that many of us need. BTS sing and rap encouragement for their fans and listeners to keep spirits high even when going through the trials and tribulations that life tends to throw at us, perhaps an understatement to this year.

The Japanese edition of the album drops on July 15th and 13 songs, with ‘INTRO: Calling’, ‘Stay Gold’, ‘Lights’, ‘Your Eyes Tell’, and ‘OUTRO: The Journey’ being the new Japanese originals. ‘Lights’ dropped back last year and truly won ARMY over. The song peaked at number 1 on the Japan Hot 100, Oricon and US World Digital songs and is certified Million with the RIAJ. Not bad, right?
