It’s Heating Up As Glass Animals Drop ‘Heat Waves’

British boys Glass Animals are back with another hit tune ‘Heat Waves’ today. We’re here to let you know it’s hot hot HOT! What’s more, they’ve just dropped a music video with the most stunning cinematography we’ve seen all year.

They’ve amassed over two billion global streams to date, but things keep going from strength to strength for this British four-piece. This latest installment is a scorching, bass-heavy pop-trip to fulfill all your summer vibing needs!

Their stunningly cinematic video, which has been directed by Colin Read, finds lead vocalist Dave Bayley meander the streets of lock-down London. All while on-lookers watch him slowly make his way to an empty venue. It’s poetic and effortless, while also reminding us just how much we’re missing live music.

‘Heat Waves’ comes just two months after their previous single ‘Dreamland’. It’s an equally catchy tune that had us bounce around in excitement when we found out an album was coming out soon that had the single as its title track. In case you’re not up to speed, it featured a completely DIY music video shot by lead singer Dave Bayley in his London apartment.

And, if all this madness isn’t enough, we’re hyped to let y’all know their album ‘Dreamland’ is out August 7th. It’s a far cry from its original May release with two back to back shows at Red Rocks. But the band has been creating, writing, performing, producing, and beyond to ensure we have a host of creative distractions.

As a result, the brand-new album is full of intensely sensitive and personal experiences. None are more emotional than when the band’s drummer Joe Seaward was involved in a bike accident in July 2018. An accident that threatened his life and that of Glass Animals altogether.

If, like us, you’re dying to hear ‘Dreamland’ in its entirety then feel free to tell us in the comments. Or tweet us @TheHoneyPop on Twitter!
