lovelytheband – ‘idwgtyp’
This single is a little sneak peek into the anticipated album. An album that the band says was some of the most memorable months. Renting a house, locking themselves away, and writing. The group was bound to make a masterpiece. Immersing themselves entirely into the creative process, the band dove deep inside themselves. Consequently the album zones in on touching topics. Topics like insecurities of love, life, and driving yourself crazy over trivial things. The band can only hope that fans will love it as much as they do. This band is lovely; we just know we will.
inception, creation, inspiration
If we still haven’t sold you on this album yet, you might be crazy. But, we wont give up on you quite yet. Earlier this year, lovelytheband released their first single off ‘conversations with myself about you. ‘loneliness for love’ obviously rocked, considering it debuted at #34 on Alternative Radio Charts. Best believe it didn’t end there, quickly becoming #1 on the most added track at Alternative Radio the same week as it’s release. The song has OVER 6.3 million global streams, not to brag (we are), ‘loneliness for love’ beat out JP Saxe/Julia Michaels, Dua Lipa, and Demi Lovato, Lewis Capaldi, and more.
In addition, single ‘I should be happy’, showed the band’s vulnerability and versatility. As frontman Mitchy Collins chronicled his struggles with depression in a beautiful ballad. As a result, it made a perfect addition to Mental Health Awareness Month. Because of its intentional drop in May it connects to the mission in which artists’ normalize conversations around the disease.
Now, we’ve intrigued you, we’re confident you won’t be able to get enough of lovelytheband. The good news? This summer, Collins will take time to sit down with several artists, friends, and tightens of the industry to talk about the inception, creation, and inspirations of the new record. Available to fans on social media and YouTube to catch each episode!
