A Deeper Look At Marvel, With ‘Marvel 616’ on Disney+

‘Marvel 616’ is set to be a must-watch especially if you are a Marvel fan.

Episode 2 Girl Power!

In this sneak peek, Sana Amanat who is a VP for character and content at Marvel, shares a couple personal stories of what she went through growing up as a Muslim girl. As she told these stories to her boss, he pitched the idea of creating a Muslim superhero. So, she called up G. Willow Wilson who is a Muslim, comic writer, and novelist. They wanted her to develop and write for the character we now know as Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel.

Episode 4 Sneak Peek

This sneak peek will be discussing a remaking of the Black Panther comics/story. It also discusses the origins of a lot of characters that were ahead of their times. Also discussing the oddities of some characters that people either never heard of, didn’t get enough attention or got lost in the jumble of other characters.

Something New

It was only a couple sneak peeks of what we’re assuming, will be an even bigger inspiring conversation. Captain Marvel who inspired them to write Ms. Marvel, inspired a lot of people. After Ms. Marvel debuted in the comics, as Black Panther did, it changed the lives of many. This is why diversity is important in media, so everyone can see themselves in characters they love.

Comic-Con

Recently there was a Comic-Con International virtual panel, where Angélique Rochè talked to the directors, executive producers, and writers for the series. It was a really interesting conversation with a deeper look at the upcoming series if you want to check it out.

From what we can tell there will be a lot of interesting stories for everyone, so we’re pretty excited for the series. Are you excited about Marvel 616? Tell us in the comments down below, tweet us @TheHoneyPop, or talk to us on Facebook or Instagram!.
