Glass Animals are set to release the album of our dreams, ‘Dreamland’

You heard it here first, Glass Animals’ latest album ‘Dreamland’ is a groovy masterpiece. Over the past few months, we’ve been eagerly eating up a string of singles, and we’re so excited that we finally got to sneak in an early listen. Now we can’t wait for all of you lovely people to hear it next week too!

Dreamland

With all this great new music, things might seem particularly rosy for Glass Animals. But since releasing their last album ‘How To Be A Human Being’, the road has been far from smooth.

Back in 2018, drummer Joe Seaward was involved in a life threatening car accident which prompted the band to cancel all their remaining tour dates of 2018. Then came COVID-19, and all their upcoming dates have either been cancelled or rescheduled.

But instead of letting all this slow them down, the band have only turned up the heat.

When they dropped the ‘Dreamland’ music video, we couldn’t get over how it was all filmed in Dave Bayley’s London flat. But then came the music video for ‘Heatwaves’ and we were all blown away. You can even check out our review here!

‘Dreamland’ has the catchiest bops going and we’re hyped to hear it on the airwaves throughout August. This Oxford born four piece have long been hailed as experts in psychedelic pop but their latest record proves that they’re so much more.

Tracks like ‘It’s All So Incredibly Loud’ demonstrate their own sonic development since 2016. While disguised ballads like ‘Melon and the Coconut’ show a rawness to the band’s own writing.

But life in ‘Dreamland’ isn’t all serious. There’s some serious bangers we can’t wait to play in the car driving down the freeway! ‘Space Ghost Coast To Coast’ is the August anthem we all needed and ‘Tangerine’ is the zestiest track we’ve heard all year.

You can stream ‘Dreamland’ by Glass Animals to your heart’s content on August 7th when it drops. Be sure to pre-save it here, but in the meantime you can check out all things Glass Animals here too!
