Selena Gomez is literally the best. We stan a lot of people here at The Honey POP. Today, we’re bringing you 5 Reasons she’s so Stan-able. Don’t believe us? Let’s take a look:
Wizards of Waverly Place
Probably one of the most iconic roles for a Barney & Friends startup. Call us saps or a little too old, but seeing little Selena Gomez play the rebellious teen on Wizards of Waverly Place was just what our childhood needed. Her character, Alex Russo, was lovable, strong-willed, and charming. All the things she is today. On top of all that, she sang the opening song!
The transition to more adult roles

Selena was able to make the transition from Disney star to more adult roles quite seamlessly. While she was in quite a few Disney movies, her role in Spring Breakers really drew the line in the sand. Our little Selena was no longer a little girl. 2012 was the year for her finishing the Wizard’s of Waverly Place TV series as well as appearing in other movies like Hotel Transylvania, Spring Breakers, and the short film Fifty Shades of Blue. No scandal and no fuss. She was making her way right on through her career.
Raising Awareness

This, along with a series of posts featuring takeovers from various black creators, was a beautiful response to the #BLM movement. Along with this nifty little link we found. Full of resources. Ways to support and fight for the cause as well as ways to donate through the page. Not only that, but she donated 100% of her Past Lives Merch proceeds.
New Beauty Line

Not only is she a musician and an actor but a beauty guru now too?
She’s designed a new makeup branded after her latest album, Rare. The song was truly beautiful, and this was indeed the move. Promoting feeling beautiful and rare in your own way. Whether you wear makeup or not, it’s clever marketing, and we’re here to support this clever girl.

Her love for Polaroids

If you peep her Instagram, you’ll find it littered with so many Polaroids. Some from her most recent 28th birthday and even way back. These days we all seem to be bringing the vintage looks back, but Polaroids take the cake. She is downright at home with collecting and sharing them on the new age Polaroid that is Instagram.

Selena Gomez is probably the sweetest, most fascinating young lady you could follow. She is aware and despite all her success from an early age super down to earth. We stan a true fairy queen.
