We’ve had ‘Dreamland’ by Glass Animals playing all month, and you need to know why. The album might’ve been out since 7th August, but Glass Animals haven’t been stopping ever since dropping remixes and even some merch! But let’s dive into their latest masterpiece of a record.
One of our favorite things about this album is just how aesthetically beautiful the music videos for all the singles have been! Whether it’s the ‘Dreamland’ video shot in lead singer Dave Bayley’s flat or the simplicity of their video for ‘It’s All So Incredibly Loud,’ the visuals have been on point.
Another of our favorite things is how innovative they’ve been with their sound. After their drummer Joe Seaward was involved in a life-threatening bike accident two years ago, the group has been quietly writing and recording. What’s resulted is their most successful and daring record yet.
If that’s not enough for you, there are even two bonus remix tracks! As a teenager, Bayley often entered remix competitions, and Glass Animals hosted their own. From over 500 fan submissions, Shakur Ahmad’s remix of ‘Heat Waves’ was picked, and we think it’s a BOP.
Love the album as much as we do? Feel free to share our excitement in the comments. Or tweet us @TheHoneyPop on Twitter!
