Kelsea Ballerini is keeping the wine flowing in her latest music video for the track “hole in the bottle” and we’re wanting to join in all the fun!
From the beginning, it is clear that “hole in the bottle” is another quintessential country song with its theme centering around pouring drinks and having a good time. In this instance, Kelsea’s drink of choice is Cabernet and she repeatedly is reaching for another bottle since the previous one coincidentally keeps ending up “empty.”
The video starts off in black and white, seemingly in the prohibition era, that ultimately transforms into a colorful country party with plenty of dancing and Kelsea looking like a literal goddess! Next time we’re hoping we’ll get an invite!
It was directed by Hannah Lux Davis, who has brought us videos for Ariana Grande, Halsey, and Doja Cat in the past. The track comes off her third album Kelsea released earlier this year in March. The debut single from Kelsea, ‘homecoming queen?’ recently landed her a milestone platinum becoming the fastest track in her discography to reach this status!
Kelsea is the first female country artist to obtain the number one spot for her three consecutive singles from her debut album, The First Time later leading to a platinum status with the single ‘Miss Me More.‘ In addition to her second album, Unapologetically, she struck gold again, totaling nine gold and platinum certifications with over two billion streams.
She also earned two Grammy nominations, won two ACM Awards, another recently ACM nomination for “Female Artist of the Year” and iHeartRadio Music Awards for “Best New Artist.” In 2019, Kelsea received a CMA nomination for “Female Vocalist of the Year” and an American Music Award nomination for “Female Artist Country.”
