Little Mix have been very busy bees this year. Between dropping singles and working on their new album, they’ve also been working hard on their brand new talent show. Get ready for Little Mix: The Search!
We first spoke about this show almost a year ago when it was first teased, and it’s been a long time coming. No pandemic was gonna stop our girlies from delivering!
The show sees the power group – who were discovered as soloists and put together during The X Factor in 2011 before being crowned the winners – on the hunt for a new talent wave. Those who make the cut will form bands and live together while having access to vocal coaches, songwriters, and the girls themselves as their mentors.
There’s no limit to the band’s genre either. With boybands, girl dance, mixed, instruments, rap r&b, and girl vocal cased in the latest trailer.
Speaking about the show, Perrie said: “We can’t wait for everyone to finally see what we’ve been working on because it’s so good! This show is something we’ve wanted to do for a long time,” with Jade adding: “The auditions were great fun to film. So much talent auditioned for the show that it was genuinely tough to decide who should go through. There are lots of twists and turns.”
The show arrives later than expected following the pandemic, which forced the girls to cancel their Summer 2020 Tour. Where the winners were originally set to perform as the support act on all UK dates. However, with a thumbs up from the government, the production team ensured that the remainder of the filming followed the guidelines to ensure the show is COVID-19 friendly.
While the show’s teaser is set to hit our screens on Saturday September 26th on BBC One, we can hardly wait!
