Thought you loved Saweetie’s original ‘Tap In’ on the famous and widely loved Too $hort beat? Just wait until you press play on this fabulous collaboration. Surprising fans with the remix featuring DaBaby, Post Malone, and Jack Harlow, Saweetie brought straight fire with this spin on her VMA nominated track, and saying we’ve had it on repeat is an understatement.
The familiar beat opens the song as usual before you hear DaBaby’s noticeable vocals ad-libbing in the opening chorus. He then goes into his own verse with catchy and very memorable lyrics.
“Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, n*gga
She want a n*gga that rap (Yeah)
She want him to give up the sack”
Playing perfectly on Saweetie’s line “f*ck a n*gga, get rich, bitch, tap in.” DaBaby drops a few more quote-worthy lines before Post Malone hops on the beat and completely makes it his own! The song goes from the original Too $hort sound to something much more. Posty has his lyrical genius glides across the music change.
“One-five gone, spend it all on the ride (All on the ride)
Only fit two, but they all got inside (All got inside)”
Literally honey to our ears. Saweetie and her widely known lyrics soon come into the song after the slight shift before lending the track to upcoming rapper Jack Harlow, who put a nice little spin on the ending making it his own, even playing on the title of the track that made him shoot up the charts!
“I just crossed over to Top 40
I can’t even say “What’s poppin’?” now, ’cause it got corny”
