David Guetta and Sia topped the charts with ‘Titanium’ and we didn’t think it could get any better than that. Boy were we wrong! Their new hit song ‘Let’s Love’ released on September 10th, and we have a sneaking suspicion it’s going to be a well-loved track too.
Aside from the song itself, this video gives us some major 80s vibes. The lyrics appear on screen in a metallic, space-y looking font and the video itself opens with a shot of an 80s looking car, driving streets lit up with neon. The car finally ends up at an equally neon looking diner with a couple standing out front, and the whole thing resembles something out of a scene out of an old movie.
See what we mean?
Now, the video aesthetic isn’t the only blast from the past, the track itself gives us the 80s vibes. It’s a classic, upbeat, feel-good sounding love song, talking about taking someone’s hand and getting through it all together. Sia’s vocals are as astounding as ever, and though she is not an artist of the 80s, she sounds like she could be! ‘Let’s Love’ combines her amazing vocals with some trademark synth and electric pop beats. It’s the 80s influenced track for the modern age. Honestly, it kind of reminds us of tracks off of After Hours by The Weeknd, like ‘Blinding Lights’. That’s pretty awesome. ‘Let’s Love’ is a fun track, and we can see ourselves vibing to it in the coming months. It would be a fun track to add to a Halloween playlist or complete your Stranger Things themed party aesthetic!
This track is different from the EDM/club music that fans are used to hearing from David Guetta, but that’s not a bad thing! It’s nice to hear artists switch it up sometimes, and ‘Let’s Love’ is a great track. David Guetta has been busy, even during COVID. He raised money for COVID relief efforts, released a new song, and earned a Guinness World Record for the most viewers of a live-streamed DJ set on Facebook. Talk about an achievement! In addition to that, after headlining Tomorrowland’s digital festival in July, Hï Ibiza revealed David Guetta will return in 2021 with his weekly ‘F**k Me I’ Famous’ residency, and we can’t wait!
