The Mandalorian Season 2 Trailer Has Landed!

The Mandalorian season 2 trailer is finally here!

This is the way.

If you’re a fan of The Mandalorian, that sentence alone probably got you excited. Well, we have some news that’ll set your little Star Wars hearts aflutter! After months of anticipation and speculation, The Mandalorian season 2 trailer is finally here!

Before we get into anything else, watch the trailer:

Whew. Okay. Where do we start?

In case you don’t remember, *spoilers* season 1 ended with Mando (Pedro Pascal) and squad escaping Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito), getting Baby Yoda to safety. Judging from the trailer, season 2 is going to explore the story of Mando, aka Din Djarin, trying to reunite Baby Yoda with “his own kind”. Mando….affectionately… refers to them as “enemy sorcerers,” due to historical animosity between the war-loving Mandalorian race and the Jedi order. Nonetheless, the journey continues. We’re hoping for more backstory about Din, Cara Dune (Gina Carano), and how Mandalore fared during the Empire’s reign, and of course about Baby Yoda! We’ll just have to wait and see what The Mandalorian season 2 has in store for us!

There has also been a lot of speculation about which familiar faces are making an appearance in season 2. Fans of the beloved animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the underrated Star Wars Rebels may be treated to some of their favorite characters! Many rumors were swirling around in regards to The Mandalorian season 2. One of the biggest rumors was the suspected appearance of Ahsoka Tano. It was recently confirmed that she will indeed be appearing in the show. Fans, understandably, went crazy upon learning their rumors were correct. For those who aren’t familiar, Ahsoka Tano was Anakin Skywalker’s padawan in The Clone Wars. Seeing her in The Mandalorian will fill in more of her story, following The Clone Wars and Rebels.

Who could this be?

Now, we didn’t get a glimpse of Ahsoka, but we did catch a glimpse of someone else. Fans are speculating that the mysterious hooded figure, pictured above, played by WWE wrestler Sasha Banks, is Sabine Wren. However, there’s no concrete confirmation just yet. Sabine appeared on Rebels, as one of the members of the Ghost crew. They were active rebels in the fight against the Empire. She is credited with creating the famous Starbird symbol that became the symbol of the rebel alliance. We don’t know much her story she embarked on a mission with Ahsoka at the end of Rebels. Maybe The Mandalorian season 2 will have some answers.

We can’t wait to see what the new season has in store for Din and Baby Yoda and where they’re going next. What are you most excited about from season 2? Which character are you most looking forward to seeing? Let us know in the comments below or by tweeting us @thehoneypop.
