Super One – SuperM

It is finally here! The new album from KPOP super-group SuperMSuper One, dropped today! With 15 songs, SuperM has left their mark with their first full-length album. While their pre-releases ‘100’ and ‘Tiger Inside’ gave us intense beats and power, the rest of the album gives us variety, with there definitely a song to fit any mood you’re feeling.

There’s a mix of slower but uplifting songs like ‘Better Days,’ and are then met with funky beats in the song ‘Together At Home.’ Much of the album follows this pattern; we start with power with the songs ‘One,’ ‘Infinity, and ‘Monster,’ then some toned-down Pop beats, to slower, sultry sounds, such as in ‘Drip’. SuperM has succeeded in showing the best parts of themselves, allowing each member’s uniqueness to blend with each other’s, delivering us an album that we already can’t get enough of!

-77.82X-78.29 – EVERGLOW

EVERGLOW have made their comeback with their second mini-album -77.82X-78.29 and they have totally eaten it up! With 80s electro-pop being one of 2020’s most prominent music trends, the sextet took note of this but managed to stay true to their sound while implementing this trend and adding their own flair.

The lead single ‘LA DI DA’ is a fierce upbeat track with a warped vocal intro and a mammoth synth loop that has the potential to become a big single of 2020. ‘UNTOUCHABLE’ offers funk guitar entwined with psychedelic dance-pop, topped with a captivating chorus that’s sure to get stuck in your head. ‘GxxD BOY’ offers an incredible breakdown for the chorus with sultry whispering and thumping bass throughout. Meanwhile, ‘NO GOOD REASON’ is full of great nostalgic vibes with gorgeous vocals and harmonies throughout.

We at Fresh Music Friday have played this SO many times since the release and urge you to make EVERGLOW an artist that’s regularly added to your playlists – they’re absolutely worth it.
