The time has come! The long-awaited Carrie Underwood Christmas album, My Gift, has finally been delivered.
It may only be September still, but we’ve already been listening to it non-stop! We knew it was going to blow our minds, but Carrie has added some personal touches on there that we never would’ve expected. For example, her son Isaiah features on ‘Little Drummer Boy,’ and it made our hearts swell because of CUTENESS OVERLOAD!
If you haven’t listened to it yet, stop what you’re doing and go right now! It’s well worth the listen, even in September, and it got us feeling pretty festive.
So, we thought what better to celebrate in Fall then to make a list of our all-time favorite Christmas albums and where to stream them, including My Gift. This way, you will have a head start for the holiday season (just like us). Whenever you’re ready, let’s deck the halls!
My Gift- Carrie Underwood
This one goes without saying as she is the one who fostered this idea, after all. Besides, we have waited years for this album to come to fruition, and we are absolutely in love with it! It’s going to be a staple in our house from now on!
Christmas & Chill- Ariana Grande
We aren’t strangers to Ariana’s music, but as lovers of all things Christmas, we adore all of her festive holiday music. It’s fun enough for holiday parties, and it’s chill enough to sing along to while wrapping presents.
Christmas– Michael Bublé
This album is the one Christmas album to rule all Christmas albums. Everyone you know breaks out this album during the most festive time of year, including us. We don’t know if it’s his sultry voice or the jazz influence he added to every song, but it’s addictive.
A Pentatonix Christmas- Pentatonix
A cappella Christmas songs still blow our minds, and so does Pentatonix. This album is unbelievable, and we are still in awe that they can do all of that with just their voices! We can’t get enough of this album during the holiday season, and it’s pretty clear why.
Under The Mistletoe- Justin Bieber
This album is a classic, despite only being nine years old. Bieber put his own twist to some classic Christmas songs and even added in a few of his own. Our Bieber Fever comes back full force when we listen to this one!
It Must Be Christmas– Chris Young
Another country artist to go along with dear Carrie, Chris Young’s raspy vocals, create a unique sound to some classic tunes. It also features some pretty cool people like Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, and Boys II Men. This album always puts us in a good mood after listening to it, and we think that it will you, as well.
A Legendary Christmas– John Legend
John Legend’s got the kind of voice that can calm a hurricane, and with Christmas being the most holly-jolly time of year, it just makes sense to have his album playing in the background of all the holiday festivities. It’s soothing and always helps keep the atmosphere light and fun. It’s a staple for us around the holidays!
The Taylor Swift Holiday Collection– Taylor Swift
Who doesn’t love the Taylor Swift Christmas album? The only person we can think of is the Grinch, but we bet even he’d be a little keen on this one! Taylor is like Princess Christmas in our eyes; she always cheers us up when we listen to this album. Her ethereal vocals set the perfect mood for decorating, and now we’re dying to put up our tree.
A Very Kacey Christmas- Kacey Musgraves
Our girl Kacey brought her A-game and holiday cheer with this album. Her goddess-Esque vocals seem to warm up the chilly air and brighten our day. It’s one of those Christmas albums that makes you have to sing along.
Glow– Brett Eldredge
Brett’s rough and sultry voice sets this album over the top for us. It’s a nice take on some classic Christmas tunes, and his voice is so soothing it helps us calm down after making it through the holiday events we have to attend every year. We are obsessed with it!
Holiday Wishes- Idina Menzel
Idina, the queen of song, has the powerhouse vocals to bring so much holiday joy to all who choose to listen to this album, but she also brings a softer light to the classics we’re used to, and we love that! It has that magical Idina touch about it, and it’s intoxicating.
The Christmas EP- The Vamps
This one is short and sweet. It’s just a short 4-song EP, but they add that rockier sound to their version of the songs, and it’s addicting. They even threw in an original track, ‘Hoping For Snow,’ that we listen to all year long with no shame. Who says we can’t have Christmas in July?
Well, there you have it, Carrie Underwood sure brought the festive in us, and hopefully, we helped you find some new tunes for your holiday playlist!
