We all know Billie Eilish, but something you might not know is that she wrote and recorded the theme song for the newest James Bond movie, No Time To Die. We’ve already had a chance to listen to and be in awe of her vocals on the track for a while, and now that she’s released a music video, we’re never going to stop talking about it.
The video is gorgeous, featuring Billie simply yet beautifully singing at a microphone. Though her scenes in the video are black and white, she shines as bright as ever with vocals that feel effortless, another example of how much control she has over her voice. Naturally, since the song is the theme for James Bond, we need some action scenes and that’s exactly what they deliver.
The movie looks like it will be so good, and all we have to do is wait until it’s released in theaters globally starting November 12 in the UK through Universal Pictures International and November 20 in the US from MGM via their United Artists Releasing banner.
Billie was stoked to create this song for the movie, and we’re stoked she did, too.
“It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way. To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honor.”Billie Eilish on ‘No Time to Die’
And the producer of No Time To Die is the one and only Finneas, her brother, but more notably, an amazing producer and musician himself.
“Writing the theme song for a Bond film is something we’ve been dreaming about doing our entire lives. There is no more iconic pairing of music and cinema than the likes of Goldfinger and Live and Let Die. We feel so so lucky to play a small role in such a legendary franchise, long live 007.”Finneas on ‘No Time to Die’
And while we have a bit of a wait until the James Bond movie is out that features the lovely theme from Billie, we have something we don’t have to wait long for. What is it, you ask? Billie and Finneas will be performing on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, October 5th! That’s so soon, are you prepared to see Billie perform ‘No Time To Die’ live? Especially now that we’ve seen the music video?
Want more Billie? We gotchu.
