The iconic British digital band is back with another Song Machine single that is bound to awe the audience. Gorillaz dropped their newest collab ‘The Pink Phantom’ which features Elton John and GRAMMY-nominated Atlanta rapper, 6LACK. The collaborative music tracks show an effortless blend between pop, alternative, and soul beats to create a soothing track for the heartbroken soul.
Regarding the interesting collaboration, Elton John said this:
Damon reached out and asked me to do something and the way the song has turned out is just great. I was in the studio in London and he was at the other end in Devon, but even remotely it was such an engaging and creative process.
The Song Machine is an audiovisual project created by Gorillaz which features a revolving door of artists to create a mixture of tracks. In addition to Elton John and 6LACK, other artists featured on tracks are Schoolboy Q, Robert Smith, Peter Hook, and more. ‘The Pink Phantom’ will be featured on the Song Machine: Season One which comes out on October 23rd and will have a massive physical release.
