We are so close to the release of Little Mix’s sixth studio album Confetti, and the girls have just dropped their latest single ‘Not A Pop Song,’ perhaps one of their most personal songs to date.
The new spunky banger hears the harmonies of Jade, Jesy, Leigh-Anne, and Perrie as they sing about the hardships they’ve had to face since shooting to fame following their win on The X Factor nine years ago. Despite continuously increasing popularity across the globe and working on an incredible discography for the best part of a decade, it’s no secret that Little Mix hasn’t had the best experiences in the industry. They have even spoken out about the misogyny they have faced. ‘Not A Pop Song’ is the anthem that sings about the breath of fresh air and freedom as they cut ties with their former label.
Little Mix – ‘Not A Pop Song’
This album is the girls’ first with their new label RCA. Having left Syco just days before releasing their fifth album LM5, the Confetti era has been nothing short of incredible. Treating fans with two massive singles ‘Break Up Song’ and ‘Holiday,’ but ‘Not A Pop Song’ seems to be the one that Mixers feel the utmost pride with.
this song really calls out every stereotype they try to put on the girls as well as the expectations and they clearly state that they will do as they please. I am really proud of you girls @LittleMix #NotAPopSong pic.twitter.com/a70PKpZoNj— lu⁷ (@innervivi) October 9, 2020

But now, Little Mix is the biggest girl group in the world. So proud of my queens! #NotAPopSong
Genuinely T H R I V I N G
Little Mix is genuinely thriving in 2020. They’re in the middle of their hit TV show Little Mix: The Search in hopes of finding a new band who will accompany them on their just-announced 2021 Confetti tour and also have a movie hitting the theatres late next month. They’re also nominated in several categories in this year’s MTV EMAs. Mixers, we are being fed!
