‘Baby, I’m Jealous’ ‘Cause Bebe Rexha & Doja Cat Channel Fierce Felines!

Grammy-nominated & diamond-certified pop music sensation Bebe Rexha has joined forces with Doja Cat for her latest funky ‘n fierce single ‘Baby, I’m Jealous’, released last week. Following up the 2019 single, ‘You Can’t Stop the Girl’, the latest track ‘Baby I’m Jealous’ is Bebe’s first single for the year 2020 which is produced by Jason Gil and Jussifer.

This is another hit delivery by Bebe Rexha ft. Doja Cat that explores the insecurities of living in the modern era of the digital age. Knitted around a funky, playful and confident vibe, the ‘Meant To Be’ singer is addressing the emotional roller coaster that negativity, in the form of envy, rage, self-doubt, (and sometimes, self-loathing), injects into a relationship.

With the lyrics, “Baby, I’m jealous/Of the pictures that you like,” “Baby, I’m jealous/Of the girls with lighter eyes/Baby, I’m jealous/And I know that ain’t right.” – the 31-year-old American singer sings on the chorus while talking about how the other person is scrolling endlessly through social medial and paying attention to other women which are bringing out her insecurities.

While sharing her thoughts about the song, Bebe commented,

“‘Baby, I’m Jealous’ is a song I wrote about embracing my insecurities,” Rexha explains. “It’s about the way social media has heightened my jealousy which can affect how I feel about myself. We are constantly flooded with the highlights of other people’s lives, and at times I find myself comparing my worth and beauty to others. It’s part of the human process to experience jealousy—ultimately, this is an anthem to embrace those feelings as a form of empowerment.”

Recently, Bebe celebrated the success of her No. 1 hit track “Meant to Be” with Florida Georgia Line that was certified Diamond (10x Platinum) by the RIAA. Currently, Bebe has been working on her new album which is set to release in early 2021. This will be a follow-up to her debut album ‘Expectations‘ released in 2018. Last year, she dropped the single “Last Hurrah”, the swooning “Not 20 Anymore” and also collaborated with The Chainsmokers for “Call You Mine.”

Additionally, Bebe launched the Grammy® Music Education Coalition’s (GMEC) national campaign on behalf of its new All-Star Ambassador program, whose members also include Luis Fonsi, Rita Ora, Kristin Chenoweth, Regina Spektor and many other artists.
