The heavy metal band, Metallica, are having their first live pay-per-view event with the Helping Hands Concert & Auction on November 14th! This special acoustic will be streaming from Metallica HQ and will benefit the band’s foundation, All Within My Hands.
Now if you don’t know what All Within My Hands is about, then buckle up because we’re about to tell you!
All Within My Hands
This organization is a non-profit foundation that was established by the band in 2017; it’s dedicated to creating sustainable communities by supporting workforce education, the fight against hunger, and other critical local services. The band wanted to create a way for the Metallica family to give back to the communities that have supported them over the years.
Just this year alone, the foundation has donated $645,000 to COVID-19 related relief funds including Feeding America, Direct Relief, and other charities that are assisting those within the entertainment and hospitality industries who are without work. The foundation has also donated $350,000 to aid those affected by the West Coast Wildfires.
Hearing that one of the most famous bands in the world is using their public status to help those in need just warms our hearts!
But that’s not all. The foundation’s Metallica Scholars Initiative is supported by a $1.5 million grant, which benefits 15 different community colleges across the country!
The Helping Hands Concert & Auction has four ticket packages that are now available to purchase. Now the best part is if you have a ticket to the show you will be able to watch it as many times as you want within 48-hours!
The band will also be hosting an auction during the event where fans can bid on items! Details of these auction items, and information on how to bid on them, will be available when it gets closer to the November 14th date.
