We’re headed into the final countdown and Square Enix knows that we’re jumping out of our seats. Back in June, Square Enix revealed that a new game will be released in November of 2020 within the Kingdom Hearts franchise titled Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory. To get fans excited Square Enix launched a playable Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory demo for fans to get a glimpse into the rhythm action game! Within the demo, the player can battle through six tracks alongside Sora, Donald, and Goofy for a taste of what’s to come when the full game drops on November 13th. You can download the demo from the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation®Store, and Microsoft Store.
The full version of Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory, MoM for short, will have over 140 playable songs from the franchise including those from the game’s iconic composer Yoko Shimomura. When you play the game, you come in contact with familiar villains from the previous game and battle through them to connect the memories made throughout all of the games. If you have a Nintendo Switch, you can always enjoy a Free-For-All battle mode with up to seven other players via local play. Like every other Kingdom Hearts game, there are different play styles so gamers of all ages and skills can play with ease. You can pre-order the full game from the SQUARE ENIX store, the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation®Store, Microsoft Store, and other select retailers. If you purchase for the PlayStation®4 system from the PlayStation®Store by December 31st, 2020, you will receive the Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory Theme.
Since the game focuses on the amazing tracks the series has given us throughout the years, Square Enix also wanted to give us one more gift before the year ended. The official soundtrack for Kingdom Hearts III will be released on November 11th! This means that we can relive the worlds of KHIII without having to replay the whole game right before the base game for Melody of Memories drops on the 13th!
Until the release, we’ll be enjoying the playable Kingdom Hearts demo and reliving the series through those few songs. We might turn on our consoles and get a few jabs at the old games too. Melody of Memories, despite small, is still essential to the franchise so remember to reconnect Kingdom Hearts. As always, may your heart be your guiding key.
