Halloween Pop-Punk Playlist
You heard him. Don’t like it? Get the hell out. Although we’re pretty certain, this collection of badass-spookified pop-punk anthems will set the perfect mood for your rocking party.
Sleeping With Sirens – ‘Dead Walker Texas Ranger’
Sleeping With Sirens has always been versatile in the sounds they put out, from covers to acoustic, to songs like this one! Channeling everything Halloween like, an ode to zombie-like things, this one makes a perfect addition to any Halloween playlist, getting you in the mood for all things spooky.
Blink 182 – ‘Ghost On The Dance Floor’
We love everything Blink anyway, so a song that sends Halloween vibes is just a double threat. The sounds of this one give us fall feelings through and through. Plus Tom? Deal,
Sum 41 – ‘Screaming Bloody Murder’
Punk-rock-classic OG’s with a touch of metal? Yes, please! This song’s got a title that screams Halloween and the sound? It matches.
Taking Back Sunday – ‘Ghost Man On Third’
Taking Back Sunday qualifies as another group that can be considered veterans to pop-punk. Kings of their era, this song lands here because what’s more spooky than a ghost? Not to mention the overall eeriness of this song and the fact that for many, it’s a sing-along makes it perfect for this holiday playlist!
Mayday Parade – ‘Black Cat’
Black Cats? Bad Luck? This video and song – it’s got it all. An absolute classic from a band that continues to put out solid music, this one more than deserves it’s place here
My Chemical Romance – ‘Vampires Will Never Hurt You’
My Chemical Romance are the unofficial kings of Halloween, so it makes sense that you’ll see MCR and it’s members more than once in this lovely little playlist. Everything about them screams Halloween, and this oldie but goodie deserves its place.
Touché Amore – ‘New Halloween’
Touché Amore is one of those bands that just do it for the pop-punk community and us. Though they’ve released a new album recently, we had to add this throwback, I mean – look at the title.
Fireworks – ‘The Only Thing That Haunts This House Is Me’
Ah, how we miss the boys of Fireworks. While we wish their run hadn’t come to an end, we couldn’t overlook their well-deserved spot on this playlist because the only thing that haunts this house is us.
Gerard Way – ‘Baby You’re A Haunted House
Sticking to the theme of haunted houses here, MCR frontman Gerard Way took some solo time to create this song, and the video matches the theme perfectly.
Blink 182 – ‘I Miss You’
Obviously, this is here – right? All we ever wanted to do anyway was live like Jack and Sally. Blink coined Halloween’s theme song with this one, with a video to match; the Nightmare Before Christmas Vibes are evident in this one.
MGK – ‘Bloody Valentine’
MGK, our favorite new contender to pop-punk, has rocked his way right to our Halloween Pop-Punk playlist, obviously because it’s a straight party starter.
Senses Fail – ‘Buried A Lie’
Ah, this one here gives us flashbacks. An absolute banger of a song itself, Senses Fail made the mark here. Poisoning? Cosplay? Bingo.
AFI – ‘Halloween’
It’s not Halloween without AFI. This band is another group that oozes Halloween vibes and this song? A jam with their unique style, it’s undoubtedly worthy of its spot on the Halloween Pop Punk Playlist.
The Used – ‘Buried Myself Alive’
What’s music without emotion? Us older gens have quite an attachment to this song. The Used did big things in this era, especially with this song.
Teenage Bottle Rocket – ‘Haunted House’
TBR easily kills it with this one. An era of pop-punk that shows this genre will never die. Did we mention werewolves?
The Maine – ‘Forever Halloween’
Halloween forever? We’re in. This beautiful ballad might slow things down, but it’s a necessary addition to this Halloween pop-punk playlist.
The All-American Rejects – ‘Jack’s Lament’
An elegant take on one of our absolute favorite Halloween Musicals, AAR kill it with this revisited version. Like it or leave it, it belongs here.
Neck Deep – ‘I Hope This Comes Back To Haunt You’
Neck Deep is just one of those bands we love. Continually throwing solid pop-punk jams, this song is all about the past coming back to haunt you, making it absolutely relevant to what we’re trying to create here.
All Time Low – ‘Monsters (feat. blackbear)’
A fun little twist on the pop-punk we all know and love, ATL has a sick little feature from blackbear. This song is an absolute anthem.
Elder Brother – ‘Halloween’
While these guys are new to our radar, we’re happy they’ve landed here. Off of their latest album, Elder Brother says every night could be Halloween.
Real Friends – ‘Skeletons’
Another band we’ll miss forever – or hopefully just for the time being. This song is the embodiment of the fall season. Flawless indeed, what could be scarier than the skeletons in our closets?
Good Charlotte – ‘My Bloody Valentine’
Good Charlotte is another band that did monumental things for pop-punk, and this song was a staple to emo kids everywhere.
My Chemical Romance – ‘Helena’
And finally, the song of all Halloween songs, My Chemical Romance with ‘Helena’. This one is here because it’s everything great about the genre and theme alike. Plus, everybody wanted to be here….shit, we still do.
Now take this Halloween Pop-Punk Playlist, and jam it at all your (virtual) get-togethers and have yourself a rocking time.
