Boy In Space. We know we don’t need to tell you just how much we love him and his music. We’ve only stated it a million times, but we need to spread the word about his music as much as possible.

Where did the name Boy In Space come from? And we’re dying to know if you could go to space and visit any planet safely, which planet would you visit and why?

Boy In Space is a reference to my own head and my brain. I tend to spend a lot of time there.

You and NOTD worked together on your latest track ‘Therapy.’ How long have you known them, and what was the inspiration behind you guys coming together for this collaboration?

We connected via mutual friends, and they also came to see me live when I played a show in Stockholm! After that, we set up a few days of writing, and the rest is history.

You have also collaborated with Shy Martin, and DREAMDNVR. Are there any other artists or bands that you’d love to collab with in the future?

I would love to collab with The Kid Laroi and Dominic Fike!

Can you take us through a typical day in writing a Boy In Space track? What is your songwriting process like?

I usually just start singing whatever comes to my head and start humming words to see if something sticks. Then, I try to put it all in place and write some lyrics that I can connect with, and that also connects with the melodies.

Do you have a muse when it comes to songwriting that just inspires you and makes it easier to write?

I try not to overthink the whole process and just paint images that come to my head, and later on, I can see where the inspiration was coming from.

If you had to make a movie based on one of your music videos, which music video would you choose, and why?

It would have to be the ‘Cold’ music video. Imagine all the visuals and story lines you could build around that Hockey arena!

Where do you usually gain inspiration for your music videos and song visuals?

I think I get a lot of inspiration from movies, music and real life situations.

What is the biggest or most important message you hope people can take from your music?

I don’t know if I’m currently trying to send a specific message. I’m more of a heartbreak comforter. I’m like the Ben & Jerry’s after a breakup.

Aside from working on and releasing some amazing music during this pandemic, have you picked up any new hobbies or learned anything new?

I learned to juggle, and I’ve become really solid at CSGO.

If you had to pick five songs to be the soundtrack of your life (you can include your own), which would you choose? And if any of them have a special meaning, can you tell us about it?

I would just create five new songs, so I have that pressure on me to make five really amazing songs, and then I would probably go insane.

We loved getting a peek inside his mind and getting to see what is at the heart and soul of all of his music. We can’t wait to see where the future takes him; we expect him to go on to do bigger and better things. Meanwhile, we’ll revel in all the glorious masterpieces he continues to release.
