Nicki Minaj Celebrates 10 Years of Pink Friday

Happy Friday! Or should we say Happy Pink Friday to the Barbs? It’s been 10 years since Nicki Minaj released her debut album, earning the title of the Queen of Rap. The surprise release of Pink Friday: The Complete Edition includes eight bonus tracks including ‘Girls Fall Like Dominoes,’ ‘Bed Rock’ featuring Young Money and Lloyd. The new edition also includes a version of ‘Romans Revenge’ with an appearance from Lil Wayne.

The release of Pink Friday dropped on November 22, 2010, creating Minaj’s icon status. The album climbed the charts to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200, the highest-selling hip-hop female debut since The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in 1998. Following its release, the album spent six weeks with the top spot on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts in 2011, tying for the longest reign at the top by a female rap act. In 2012, Minaj would break her record by spending seven weeks with the top spot for Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded; still holding that record today.
