Yungblud ecstatically shares new song, ‘acting like that’ featuring Machine Gun Kelly.
Rounding up to be one of our favorite platonic (hey, we’re dreamers) threesomes, MGK, Yungblud, and Travis Barker have paired up yet again to deliver us with everything we never knew we needed, as Yungblud gears up for the drop of the album Weird! Due out this Friday, this single is just what everyone needed to elevate our hype for the album drop. Truthfully, it’s beyond what we can handle. Experience the elevation yourself here:
Yungblud feat. Machine Gun Kelly – ‘acting like that’
The single ‘acting like that’ joins killer tracks ‘strawberry lipstick,’ ‘cotton candy,’ ‘mars,’ ‘god save me but don’t drown me out’ and title track ‘weird!’. This dream team absolutely radiates killer rocker energy, and some might even say that they’re dominating the music industry with hit after hit. While each individual could carry the weight alone, the magic that is made is otherworldly when they’re together.
Speaking on the song, charismatic and relatable as ever, Yungblud notes:
“‘acting like that’ is a result of what happens when me, MGK, and Travis get together, the energy’s electric and we write songs that amplify a feeling. This song radiates just going f*cking nuts at your favorite show, a feeling that we all need right now. this song is about losing control and feeling free with your best f*cking mates.”Yungblud
Amped-Up Alt-Rock Energy
Damnit, does the man have a point. Certainly, something we all need is that feeling of absolute chaos: the trio’s unmatchable energy. The iconic yet wholesome friendship is one we won’t ever get over because what they’ve given us is a unique version of alt-rock vibes we long for. The song itself is perfect in amped-up energy, giving a call back to ‘I Think I’m Okay’ – the first time the trio made us all hot and bothered. With a bridge that sends shivers up our spines, the angelic combo of Colson and Dom’s voices, and Trav’s production, we are on our knees – praying, of course – that this isn’t the last of them.
Yes, we’re aware that our love for them is ridiculous, but we don’t care. What are your thoughts on the single? Will it live up to ‘I Think I’m Okay?’ Let us know what you’re thinking by commenting down below, or giving us a holler on Twitter @TheHoneyPOP!
