If you haven’t been living under a rock since 2006, you undoubtedly know the name, Miley Cyrus. Even if you didn’t watch Hannah Montana every day like most of us did, her name is an easily recognizable one.
On November 27th of this year, Miley Cyrus released her seventh studio album Plastic Hearts, and it has been an instant hit. It shot to number one on the rock charts and had massive success on the overall charts.
It’s official. #PlasticHearts is the #1 rock record in the country. My mind is blown and my heart is overwhelmed with gratitude. Thank YOU to every creative collaborator involved on this project! If one person was missing I would not be writing this message. pic.twitter.com/rvVuSO7L5v

If you know anything about Miley, you know she was born to be nothing short of a megastar. Her father is country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, and her godmother is living legend Dolly Parton. Therefore, it is fate that Miley would become a living legend of her own right.
From top to bottom, this album is just pure Rock-n-Roll. From the title track to the ballad about a love lost in ‘Angel Like You,’ every song is sonically cohesive. In short, each song on the album makes sense right where it is. You can stream Plastic Hearts on Spotify here!
Because of Miley’s Disney beginnings, we think it gets overlooked what an amazing accomplishment this is. Women rarely dominate on charts in the rock genre, much less young women that still have their whole career ahead of them. We hope Miley makes a home in the rock genre going forward in her career. It’s right where she belongs, based on her success and the love she gains from fans and non-fans alike.
